Car Lease Maintenance Program
Full lease-vehicle lifecycle platform — maintenance, scheduling, driver tracking, delivery, tyre and glass service, roadside assistance, damage reporting, restitution, buyback, and in-app fuel refill.
The problem
A Netherlands-based car-leasing company needed a single platform covering the entire lifecycle of a leased vehicle — not just the lease itself, but everything that happens to a car afterward: scheduled maintenance, tyre and glass service, roadside assistance, damage reporting, restitution at lease end, and buyback. Drivers needed a hybrid mobile app; the business needed one system of record behind it.
The approach
As frontend tech lead for a 10-person team, the architecture was built on Angular with Cordova for hybrid mobile delivery, using RxJS for the reactive data flows a multi-step lifecycle like this demands — a damage report, for instance, has to flow through repair scheduling, cost approval, and restitution without losing state. TypeScript across the stack kept the domain model (lease, vehicle, driver, service event) consistent between the team members working on different parts of the flow.
Outcome
Shipped and maintained across a multi-year engagement (2018–2020), covering the full set of driver-facing services listed above for a real leasing operation, with a 10-person frontend team reporting through this role.
